The Intoli Smart Proxy Service

In order to connect to the Intoli Smart Proxy service, you use a proxy URL and access credentials determined by one of your projects. When you sign up for a new account, an initial project is created for you and you can start using it right away. You can create as many projects as you need, each with its own separate settings and access credentials. Projects are a great way to quickly switch between scraping configurations, limit access and data usage, and to separately monitor your scrapers' analytics.

Project Overview

The All Projects page of your dashboard can be accessed by clicking on the "All Projects" link in your dashboard's sidebar. This page provides you with a basic overview of your existing projects, and allows you to create new ones.

The All Projects Page

Click on any project's name in the Projects section of the sidebar, or in table on the All Projects page, in order to be taken to that project's settings page. Learn more about the various settings in the Configuration Overview.

Creating a New Project

To create a new project, press the "New Project" button in the upper-right corner of the All Projects page. You will immediately be taken to your new project's settings page, where you can customize the new project's name and settings according to your needs.

Managing a Single Project

There are three tabs associated to a single project: Settings, Usage and Analytics, and Quick Start.

Settings

Each project's Settings page allows you to customize the project's scraping behavior and impose access and usage limits. For a detailed overview of the available settings, see the Configuration Overview.

Settings Tab

Usage and Analytics

On the top of the Usage and Analytics tab you can see the the corresponding project's data during the current billing cycle, the overall data usage in the current billing cycle, the number of days left in the billing cycle, and the project's request success rate.

Analytics Tab Usage

On the bottom of the tab are plots showing request counts and data usage over time. You can select a custom date range for the plots through the date selector widget above and to the right of the plots.

Quick Start

The Quick Start tab provides a few usage examples using the corresponding project's actual access credentials. If what you need is not covered in the Quick Start tab, your best bet is to look through these documentation pages.

Deleting a Project

To delete a project, head on over to its Settings tab, and then press the "Delete" button at the bottom of the settings form. You'll have to confirm the project's deletion, and will not be able to make requests through that project ever again.
